January 2013

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I speak blessings to you and your family and pray that this coming year will be your best year ever for the glory of God.  I trust this holiday season was good and rich with opportunities for you to have shared your faith with family and friends.

I’d like to share with you what I sense is coming forth in this new year and how to best prepare for what is going to be the best of times and the worst of times.  First and foremost though, I continue to thank God for His goodness, His mercy and His abundance of grace which is keeping severe judgments from coming upon America as well as other parts of the world.

I also thank my partners that are helping me in prayer and finances because the message of self denial and holiness God has given me to bring forth is far from popular, seeing as it is contrary to much of the church world’s selfish ambitions.  Fortunately, there is a remnant humbling themselves, repenting from their own sins as well as the sins of others, interceding and asking God to forgive us and heal our land.  Due to the faithfulness of these saints we’ve been extended an extreme amount of grace.  Praise be to God for the extra time!

Regrettably though, everything is not okay and the last days are still upon us.  Darkness continues to increase with all manner of sin and perversion – everything God says in His Word would happen in the last of the last days.

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.  2 Timothy 3: 1-5 NASB

As you read this description of the character attributes of the people on earth in the last days you have to realize that we are the living in the last of the last days.  For most in the church, this list of sins isn’t even bothersome as our society has become so desensitized to Biblical morality, ethics and doctrine.

What concerns me the most is the growing number of Christians that are being sucked into the ways of the world.  However this is exactly what the Apostle Paul said would happen when he wrote Timothy and warned him of what was going to happen in the last of the last days.

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron… 1 Timothy 4:1-2 NASB

There are a couple of key words here that need to be emphasized.  The first is, “the Spirit explicitly says”, in the Greek this word means in undeniable terms (meaning without doubt it will happen).  Latter times, literally means the last of the last days or an appointed time of the end.  Fall away from the faith, means a very slow, very gradual turning away from the sound doctrine of the Word of God.

I could and have preached entire sermons on this verse but suffice it to say more and more people today are satisfied with status quo (very okay with being lukewarm at best), are less and less spiritual and far more focused on the blessings of God and His abundant grace than living rightly, walking in a reverential fear of the Lord and being about the Father’s business.

I can tell you the message of the hour which very few ministries or churches are promoting is holiness, humility and sanctification.  As we move forward in time you’re going to see a very clear polarizing of individuals, people groups and even nations as the stage is being set for the confrontation of the ages, light against darkness.  As Paul told Timothy:

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.  2 Timothy 3:8 NASB

Jannes and Jambres were the sorcerer’s in Pharaoh’s court that challenged Moses, and also challenged God.  Moses demonstrated God’s miracle power by having his staff turn into a serpent, they did the same but Moses’ staff swallowed up their staffs/serpents.  This foreshadows or gives us a picture of the last days’ confrontations of good vs. evil. In Moses’ day God delivered His people while His judgments came on Egypt.  Likewise in our day, God will deliver his people (both Jew and Gentile) while Egypt (the world) comes under judgment. (Never underestimate for a moment the enemy’s power, but know you have authority and power over all the works of the enemy).

Just as in the natural where nations are aligning themselves together against Israel for the battle of Armageddon, God is aligning His people for the greatest confrontation ever spiritually, which is why it is so important to get red hot and fired up for God.  As we are getting closer and closer to the great battle many smaller battles are happening and are going to be steadily increasing as we get closer to the end preparing us for the big one.

God is literally training our hands for battle through the smaller battles being fought now in the heavenly realm.  As result of these battles, there is going to be an incredible amount of financial blessings (transfer of wealth) as the spoils of war are going to come into the hands of believers.

For those who are red hot and fired up, this time is going to be exciting and filled with amazing testimonies of supernatural deliverance, protection and provision.  Those who are lukewarm are going to have a much more difficult time but thankfully for some, it will cause them to get hot, while others will continue to slide more towards the ways of darkness and suffer great loss.

Let me share with you some very important points to help you in the time we’re coming into.

  1. Make a decision to get hot for God.  Stop procrastinating and making excuses with why other things are taking a priority on your time.
  2. Ask God to convict you of every thought, word and action that would be displeasing to Him.
  3. As God convicts you of wrong, be obedient, be quick to repent and purpose to do what is right.
  4. Humble yourself under His mighty hand and realize that the God who made you knows best how to guide you, provide for you and protect you from all harm.
  5. Be sensitive and obedient to do whatever He says.
  6. Let not your heart be troubled; let peace guard your heart and mind.
  7. Instantly (within six seconds) bring all ungodly thoughts into captivity, knowing that within 6-10 seconds they will bring forth destructive emotions and be physically and spiritually destructive.
  8. Ask God to use you every day (divine appointments); He created you with a destiny/purpose.  To not actively pursue being what He designed for you to be is selfish and prideful, in essence you are exalting yourself over God.
  9. Refuse to focus on your weaknesses (sins and wrongdoings).  This is a “holiness” trap and will keep you in bondage to your current lifestyle.  You have to focus/meditate on the Word.  The Word will supernaturally change you from glory to glory from the inside out.

Last month I introduced my new year’s plan in communicating with my partners.  Essentially, I’m creating two mailing lists which will be; my regular list which are all my partners and then a separate list consisting of those who see themselves as “the remnant”.  The remnant is clearly those who desire to be red hot and fired up for God, willing to live a crucified life of self denial and are pressing in to the fullness of walking in the supernatural.

This letter is being sent to all, but all that have indicated to me that they are the remnant have already been sent a two CD set I just recorded titled “Pressing Into the Fullness of the Spirit”.  If you have yet to ask to be on the list you can do it with this letter.  You can also just request the two CDs and I’ll be glad to send them to you.

This message is powerful and will give you very insightful revelatory knowledge on how to walk in the fullness of the supernatural power of God.  This revelation of how to walk in the fullness of the Spirit has been a quest of mine for over 32 years and as much as God has given me to date, the message on these two CDs takes the walk in the Spirit to a new level.

I look forward to mentoring you this coming year and if you’ve yet to get started on the Supernatural Discipleship Program, I highly encourage you to do the Spiritual Development One at the very least.  It will cost $30 a month and only take you six to ten minutes each day but will be time well spent in pressing into God and getting red hot for Him.  Consider the program a partnership offering and as much as it will be a life changer for you, your support will help us to get this message out around the world.

Your Supernatural Friend and Partner in Christ,

David Martin
